EOS Utility availability for macOS Sequoia

Does any of you tried to download EOS Utility for the last updated software in MAC? Still not available for me.

I’m using an M1 Mac Studio Max which is now running the latest update of Sequoia and connecting to a Canon EOS Rebel SL2 OR 200D in the rest of the world.

The key to my issue was that I needed to uninstall all previous versions of the Canon EOS Utility from my computer. That’s because one of them was running in the background and wouldn’t allow me to use the upgraded utility. Once I uninstalled the old versions I again downloaded the update and then restarted my computer. That turned out to be the sequence of events that was necessary for the upgrade to work correctly. Everything worked! I’m now up and running.

I have no idea what your issue is as long as the Canon camera you’re using is on in the list of supported Canon cameras but will add, make sure to follow my sequence and don’t deviate from it.

EOS Utility availability

While EOS Utility currently doesn't have an update available for Sequoia yet, one thing you might try is changing the version to Sonoma and try the previous version. While we can't guarantee functionality, some users have had success doing that in the past. Otherwise, keep an eye out for updates on when that version for Sequoia will be available!

Let me see if I got this right. Canon’s suggestion is to GO BACK to Sonoma to make EOS utility work. Why don’t Canon make a working version for Sequoia available IMMEDIATELY? A lot of people - including myself - have a lot of work hanging on this. Please do it.

No. I suggested you go to our website and select the dropdown to select the Sonoma software to see if it will work. I did not suggest reverting to a prior operating system. Other people have been able to install it on Sequoia via this link.

dear,  canon.

i have a 70d. i've shot with eos v.2 utility flawlessly for years until the sequoia update. i do not want to buy a new camera or live stream a cooking class. i take photos. my mac auto updated to sequoia and now it doesn't work. nothing. won't connect, doesn't pair, etc. the desktop utility was very important to my operation as a studio shooter. when and how do i/we get an update to the desktop utility that will work with sequoia. again, yes i have an older camera, but it worked perfectly for what i do until the sequoia update. i know that's on apple, but please let us know when the EOS utility (not the webcam) will be patched so that we can get back to work with remote shooting, etc. this is a huge bummer. here's the simple verison: 70d, need utility update that works for remote photo shooting with mac sequoia asap. thank you kindly. i tried the link in the post above and no worky.

Please download the latest version of the EOS Utility, which is version 3.18.40 for Windows and 3.18.41 for macOS as of Wednesday, November 20, 2024.

You will always find the current version of the EOS Utility at https://canon.us/eu

If you have the current version of the software installed and still need help, contact support at 1-800-OK-CANON (800-652-2666), weekdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (ET).

V.3 will not recognize my 70D. how do we get the 70d into the list of compatible cameras?
