I'm glad you solved it, that was the key, to uninstall and delete everything related to the old version of eos utility and reinstall the newer version.

Go to appz, delete canon utilities folder, update to sequoia 15.1, download this version of eos utility 3.18.5 from canon hong kong , it should work for you, it works very well for me on my macbook m2
