Hi there

I'm having the same issue. I bought a used Canon Esd 1000, downloaded the updated software and can't select certain options in Utility window. I have a Windows 10

Your EOS 1000D was introduced in other markets in 2008, it was sold as the EOS Digital Rebel XS in the USA.

The last updater for EOS Utility that is compatible with your camera was version 2.14.20a and it was available in September 2015 (10 years ago). The current version of EOS Utility is no longer compatible with your camera.

You will have to use a card reader and take the card from the camera and put it in your computer to copy images from the card. You can use the current version of Canon's Digital Photo Professional Software to process the RAW images from your camera if needed.

Go to the 1DX Mark II support page and download EOSU 3.9. It will also install EOSU2 which will work with your camera.
