DPP renaming tool not working in macOS 15

Dear all

I am using DPP at its latest version (4.19.10.0) under MAC OS 15.0.1.

When I open files (.cr3) in DPP, mark them all and open the renaming tool, it won't start (the renaming tool). You can shortly see the window of that tool, but it disappears right away. Does anyone have the same issue or will it work using DPP4 and Sequoia? It did work with the OS before and the version of DPP before the one I use now. I updated both at the same time.

Any idea anyone?

I use a MacBook Pro M2 14'' (2023), 32 GB.

You can simply tap the link I provided above. It contains the current version of DPP (4.19.31).

The latest version of DPP4 is 4.19.30.0, but it still does what you are reporting - the screen just flashes once and disappears.

Many thanks. Good to see that I am not the only one that experiences this. Guess it will disappear with a DPP update soon.

Best,

I only have DPP4 4.19.10.0 as the latest version (no updates available). I reported this to Canon, let us see what happens.

Same issue here.  Hope Canon can fix this soon.

Version 4.19.31 (“fixing minor bugs”) is available on the Canon Europe site.
I haven’t downloaded yet, but it might resolve the issues.

The latest versions are here: https://canon.us/dpp

As of 10/21/2024:
Version 4.19.30(Windows)
4.19.31 (Mac)

  • Thanks a ton dear John. This has worked !

It is not available yet. Website doesn't show it and DPP software shows "no updates available".
