Capture One doesn't see EOS R5 Mark II

I have the latest version of CaptureOne that supports the R5 Mk II but I can't get the software to see the camera consistently. For anyone that has this working, are there any settings you set on the camera before plugging the tethering cable in? Do you have the Canon EOS Utility installed on the computer along with CaptureOne?

Hi wildfashion,

As a test, go ahead and load EOS Utility on your computer, close out of CaptureOne, and then try to shoot tethering with EOS Utility using the remote shooting option.

That will help us determine if the issue is software specific.

The download options will vary somewhat depending on which operating system your computer is running, but this should work in most cases. To get the software, you can visit:
www.usa.canon.com/support

Enter your camera in the search box and select it from the list that populates. If you don't see it listed there, then try deleting a few characters and then trying again. On the next page that loads, click on SOFTWARE & DRIVERS. Then look for the program(s) of interest and press the DOWNLOAD button.

If you're still having problems, please elaborate on what version of Windows or macOS you're running and any other imaging devices (webcams, scanners, printers, etc.) you have connected to your computer.

I can see and shoot with the EOS Utility but Capture One does not see the camera. I have made sure the EOS Utility was not running when I opened Capture One. It just doesn't recognize the camera is there. I am trying this tethered.

Hello wildfashion,

Thank you for the additional information. This tells us that the issue is with the Capture One software versus being a camera issue. You may want to try it on another computer if possible. Otherwise, we would recommend contacting the software vendor for further assistance with that.
