Greetings,

Thanks for clarifying.  Apps installs and loads successfully.  Issue is with connectivity.

The camera is supported in Canon Connect.  The camera supports NFC (bluetooth) and wireless.  For image transfer, you will need to use Wi-Fi.  There a 2 methods.  AP Mode.  The camera is the host.  It broadcasts the Wi-Fi connection, and the tablet connects to it.  Network mode.  Camera and tablet connect to the same wireless network.  Communication is allowed between connected devices.

I recommend AP Mode.  Camera broadcasts, tablet connects to it.  Enable the Wi-Fi settings on the camera.  Press the Wi-Fi button on the back of the camera.  Choose Mobile device/Tablet.  Choose Add Device.  The camera will now display its network name and password.  Now open the settings cog on your tablet.  Select Network and Internet.  Select Internet > Look for the network name your camera is broadcasting.  Select it, enter the password seen on the camera's screen.  Your tablet will now connect to the camera.  Once this happens, a Bubble Notification will prompt you to open the Canon Connect App.  If it doesn't just swipe up to your desktop and open the App manually.  You'll be connected now.  You can review what I just described in your user guide starting on page 91.

I press wifi button, goes to busy, then screen reads transfer images between cameras / connect to smartphone / connect to computer / print from wifi printer / upload to web service. I choose connect to smartphone (used to work), then choose add a device, its searching, start dedicated app on target device comes up asking you to turn on canon connect. After pressing detect camera on tablet / canon connect app, Screen reads connected smart device can now operate camera and access images on memory card with a yes or no button. I choose yes, screen reads connected device smx510 then disconnects. I cannot find AP mode using your directions in order to try.

I tried to connect as suggested on page 91 and still get disconnected. It just won't pair at all. I'm doing everything I can Rick. It just doesn't work.

Tried it. Disconnected. I give up.

I followed all instructions. It just disconnects.
