How to continue using image.canon on PowerShot ELPH 190 IS & EOS Rebel T7

Lucky me, I have 2 Canon cameras, a DSLR and a Point / Shoot on the list no longer supported by the Image Connect gateway.  I recently retired and want to get back into photography.  One of these cameras I only owned less than a year before it was no longer supported.  It strikes me a bit odd that Canon couldn't find a work around solution to the so-called security issue and instead just eliminated functionality completely.   looked into Eye Fi options and also the Canon Wi Fi adapter, but both have major issues. Finally, I cannot believe that such a highly regarded and technically competent company like Canon can just push these cameras aside while they made some accommodations to have some cameras continue to function on the image gateway.

Am I the only one that feels this way?  I didn't drill down these forums too closely, but I would hope that there is some activity going on behind the scenes.  Thanks for any comments or suggestions you can provide.

I am pretty sure most of us don't use Image Garden and don't care much either way.
