Canon Camera Connect features on Android vs iOS

Is canon ever going to address the disparity between the android and iOS versions of the camera connect app and allow us to transfer the raw files wirelessly without having to use a third party app, there is no reason for this option to be missing on android.

Android does not support the formats natively. iOS does.

This means an Android device can't understand RAW files from our cameras and doesn't know what to do with them. Apple devices can see the files, know what they are, and display them properly.

But surely that's a choice I should be able to make, I don't mind transferring a jpeg if I want do a quick share with friends, but with having apps like lightroom on android these days, surely being able to transfer a raw over to edit it while I'm away from a PC without having to rely on third party apps or wired transfers should be something I as a user should be able to do, and as third party apps are capable of doing it, it is not an android limitation in itself, it's canon not putting the option into the app.

This limitation is not new. The option to transfer these files has never existed on Android.

While I understand this is not a new limitation, what I'm saying is that it is not an android limitation as previously stated, this is canon not implementing the feature in the app, that another, non canon app, can do. I should not need to use another app, is this something that can be put forward as a requested feature to bring the apps across android and iOS to parity?

This is nothing to do with android directly, canon canjust let us transfer cr2/cr3 files without android being natively able to open the apps, here is a screenshot from a 3rd party app on android that can connect to my camera the same way as the canon app does, and it can access and transfer cr2 files over, this has zero to do with android, and canon can implement it within app regardless, this is why I asked if this can be fed back to canon to implement
