Help Needed Connecting EOS R100 to Windows 11 Computer Using Wi-Fi

In 2024 was able to use WiFi to move photos from EOS R100 camera to Dell Inspiron Computer.  Then might have had Win10, now have Win 11 operating system.  Here is what I see when I double click on EOS Utility with camera nearby and on.  The window shows a circular arrow.  Click on i and message back is "No updates are available"  Click OK.  Then click on "Pairing over WiFi/LAN" ad up pops a window with these words across the top:  Camera Model, MAC address, and IP address.  At the botttom of the window is "connect".   Nothing within this window can be clicked on.  Only the X in the upper right corner is clickable.

The went to start menu, Camera, Canon Utilities, EOS network setting tool and double clicked on connection settings.  filled in the blanks with WiFi / router information and password.  Then scrolled down to Function settings which is completely blank.  Have no idea how to complete this section which includes  new, FTP value, FTP port 21 pre set, Target folder, user setting, log in method, proxy setting, etc.  Not able to "save" at the bottom of the page becasue message back was "Can't save, values invalid."

Welcome your suggestions to try to enable R100 camera to communicate via WiFi with Dell Inspiron Windows 11 computer.  Thanks ahead of time.

Greetings,

The camera supports multiple connection methods.

R100 WiFi Connection Methods.

https://cam.start.canon/en/C015/manual/html/UG-08_Wi-Fi_0010.html

You can connect the computer to the camera in AP mode or you can connect both the camera and computer to the same wireless network and make the connection that way.

If you choose the first method, the camera must be set to broadcast it's SSID name and password.  Once done you will see this name as an available network on your PC.

When a successful connection is made, the camera and PC will both remember the other device and save these profiles for easy connection in the future.  Once they are associated you can open the EOS Utility again to control the camera, perform firmware upgrades and more.

Review the steps in the manual and let us know if you run into any snags.  🙂
