Hello everyone,
which settings do you want to disable on Canon cameras that are already going to do post-production right away?
for astrophotography, I have already disabled some:
1)high ISO sensitivity noise reduction;
2)long exposure noise reduction;
3)automatic correction of brightness and contrast;
now I'm wondering if I should also disable:
4)automatic light optimization;
5)peripheral illumination correction;

In astrophotography, I will make all the various calibration files so it's okay to disable everything.
but I wonder how points 3 and 4 also affect the ordinary .CR2 photos that are taken? that is, how do they correct the light based on the shutter speed, aperture and ISO settings that we have set in manual mode? or how do they affect in AV/TV mode?

If you are shooting and recording in RAW (which it looks like you are since you mentioned ,CR2) none of the options matter (with the exception of #2.- LENR). LENR in-camera takes a second exposure with same duration as the original but only records sensor noise. Then the camera subtracts the noise from the original. You can do the same by taking an exposure with the lens cap on and using star stacking software..
All the other features are "tags" in the RAW file. They are applied in-camera if you also record JPEG, can be used in Canon DPP and are ignored by third party software (at least the ones I am familiar with).
