EOS R5 Mark II firmware EOSR52-V102-WIN now available

Hello everyone,

I just downloaded the latest EOSR52-V102-WIN on my R5 Mark II.  Was I asleep?  I just decided to check if any new firmware updates for the R5 Mark II had been released and behold there she blew!  A new release, eosr52-v102-win dated 12/05/2025!  Was I asleep or what.  I usually get an email from Canon and or look at the "New Firmware Updates" for Canon cameras in the Canon Community web site.  This time I didn't see it.  As for the Canon email, I might have deleted it.  Did Canon stop sending notices or posting them on the Canon website?   I was curious so I checked under the "Support" tab and found the new firmware update there.  In any case, I downloaded it and I'm good, until the next one.  I'm usually on top of this things but this time the jet lag might have played a part in it. I was 35 days late!  If changes have been made to the firmware announcements, please let me know.  Thanks in advance!

Cheers,
Joe

Hi Joe ,

Email notifications, still come but are usually delayed.  I visit the support portals for my products about once a month.  I also read a lot of blogs, so I'm usually aware or watching for firmware before it's been released anyway.  I also do research on the release notes so that I can explain or better articulate new features and enhancements.

Thanks Brian,

I'm glad to know that nothing has changed and that I can always check the Canon Community website for firmware updates as usual.  I kind of figured that it was me that failed to see the announcement on the Community website.  😁   I have to scroll down further in the future.   Thanks again, Brian,  for the confirmation 👍

Ho Rick,

Thanks for letting me know that the mail notifications are.still coming as usual and that firmware updates are still being posted on the Canon Community website.   I sort of figured that it was me 😁  But I thought I check just in case, as we all know, the only constant is change!! 😉

Cheers,
Joe
