EOS R5 Mark II Battery and Charger Compatibility with EOS R5

I have read that the new R5 MkII with the new LP-E6P battery also has a new charger.  I've also heard that the current LC-E6 charger, for the R5 and the older 5D series DSLR's can be used for the new LP-E6P batteries. 

I have an R5 MkII on order with spare batteries, but plan on keeping one of my current R5's and the fact I have 4 LC-E6 chargers, it would be nice not to have to carry 2 chargers.  

Also leads to the question will the new LP-E6P batteries work in the current R5?  In a prior post I did learn that the LP-E6NH batteries will work in the MkII but won't power 4 or 8k video, which doesn't matter to me.

Currently, information for compatibility between the Battery Pack LP-E6P and Canon cameras which are not the EOS R5 Mark II camera is not available. More information will become available near the availability or availability of the camera. Thank you.

I have a MKII on order with spare batteries, but I have several R5's batteries and chargers that if I don't have to replace makes a large financial impact. We'll see what happens, but I do not want to go out into the field and have to deal with two different battery and charger systems.

According to the EOS R5 Mark II instruction manual on the Canon website the camera comes with the same LC-E6 or LC-E6E charger the same as previous cameras. Usually if Canon makes a new version of the charger it will be identified with a different model name such as LC-E7 or LC-E6N.

I got my MkII on Thursday and had a chat with a Canon pro who has been shooting a pre-pro for a while.  The camera came with the LC-E6 charger, same as the R5 and even the EOS 5D series.  I was told that the LP-E6P batteries can be used in the R5 and the LP-E6NH batteries will work in the MkII. Obviously, the charger is the same so no issue there.
