canon vixia hf r700 can't get past date and time

I know a old camera, from 2016. I like this camera,  I just started to use this again. When I charge the battery from using the camera, over night 8pm, got up at 9am. open that up and was greeted with language, date choose then select how you want the date and time.

I read that the internal battery needs to be recharge. And holds settings up 3 month. When I first bought the camera, was able to get past date and time from pressing (ok) from screen. Now I cannot. However from 2017, while I didn't used that. 
I had the  (select language, date, date/time) never had a issue. When that happen now I do.

I read from other people, that could be internal battery (needs to be replaced) saw that, can't be replaced from a person, canon has to do that. Unfortunately I don't see that happening. They should of had that you would be able to easily remove that Lithium-ion battery

The canon vixia should of had a reset button from on the camera (not from the options)
Unless there isn't a internal battery? And the external battery is the one for the time and date.

It sounds more like your touchscreen may not be working properly. Even if the date/time are not set properly, you should still be able to get past that screen by selecting [OK]. I've reviewed our service information and Canon no longer provides repairs for the VIXIA HF R700 unfortunately. That could be,  but for being a expert. I'm sorry that's is false. Nothing is wrong with the screen i've checked. From selecting languages. I select everyone testing the screen.

Could be the internal battery, which needs a 24 hour charge.  (a refurbished one) 300$ from amazon

This wouldn't happen if the camera wasn't design, (date/time) is stuck because of the internal battery, there shouldn't even be one from the first place. The time and date should of been stored from the sd card.. There shouldn't even be a internal battery. The product should of had a reset button, from behide the camera.

Why isn't there thumbs down? This expert had the most wrong info ever. Nothing is wrong with the camera at all. All I had to do was charge the internal battery for 25 hours, that kinda worked. But you had to move the screen door clockwise, press (ok) on the screen then the grey part on the upper right corner.

I'm sorry, i'm just frustrated. The lcd screen works, but the bottom part doesn't work anymore. You would have to turn the screen, where the screen is where the lens part is.

I'm going to update the camerecorder anyway
