I have tried all suggestions I can locate on the forum regarding connection problems using the USB cable supplied with my new m52 camera. I tried reloading the software, switching usb ports, and rebooting the mac with no results. My operating system is OSX 10.8.2
Any help is appreciated.

Please describe what sort of problems you are experiencing. Are you just unable to download video from the camera? What, if any, error messages do you receive when you try to download?

Thank you for your response. I talked with someone in tech. support who explained how to transfer my video to mac. I apparently don't need the software since iMovie does everything I need. Works very well now.
