My kid has had my Canon Vixia HG20 for a few years but never used it. I got it back and shot some video, but now I can't figure out how to transfer it to a Windows 11 64-bit laptop.
I know there was a software product called PIXELA ImageMixer 3 SE that came with the camera, but the disc is long lost and PIXELA doesn't support the software, nor have it available for download. None of the forums here nor Canon support chat seem to have a solution. I tried importing to Adobe Premiere, but that didn't work.
Does anybody know if there is a solution to getting the videos off this camera?
Thank you,
Bill

Hi PasadenaBill,
One thing you could try would be to copy clips from the camcorder’s hard drive to an SD card, and then use a card reader to transfer the clips to your computer.
With an SD card in the HG20, put the camcorder in the playback mode and navigate to the clips you want to copy. Press FUNC button and select the option to copy to the memory card.
For additional assistance and software options for your computer setup, you may wish to contact our phone support line by calling us at (800)652-2666 on M-F from 9am-6 pm EST and then select the camcorder department.
