I have been trying to transfer video from my Cannon Camcorder VIXIA GF S20 using a memory card. The MIV file does transfer to my IPAD but cannot figure out how to save and or watch on the IPAD. Any suggestions. Thankyou for reviewing.

Greetings,
.MOV files are natively supported in iOS. However, if its not recorded in a supported codec h.264, h265,.mp4 or pro-res it could fail to play.
I'm not intimately familiar with this model because of its age. 16 yrs old.
I suspect however, the problem could be with your transfer method and not with the file type.
If you're trying to connect this camera directly to the iPad, that may not work. Further, I don't think Canon Connect for iOS will transfer the files either. Try moving them to your computer, uploading to your iCloud account and then see if they'll play on your iPad.
