Canon Vixia HF R700 Stuck on Black Screen

Hi

I got a Canon Vixia HF R700 about a year ago and I really like it. For some reason today, when I turned it on it stayed on a black screen with the backlight on. I took the battery out, put it back in and the same thing. I could for some reason get the library if I timed it right. I really hope this is fixable and I hope someone knows why this is happening.

If your camcorder's display is still black, first, please ensure that the lens cover has been opened. The switch for this cover is located just under the end of the grip belt that's closest to the lens.

I lightly tapped the lens for a bit and it finally loaded.
