My lens has seen some rough times. I purchased it used from someone who shot with it for a living. It is ugly. But was working well. The weather seal on the mount was shot, so I wanted to replace it. Sadly one of the 4 threaded tabs on the lens is st...
Whatever they are show up on several bodies & lenses. They happen frequently at one of the drag strips I shoot at. Often times they are in different parts of the image. I have seen them at another track I shoot at but only a couple of times in the 40...
Well aware that this is a very vague question. I am thinking about getting a new body. I currently shoot with a 7D Mark II, a 1DX, a 1DX Mark II and Mark III. I shoot motorsports. Lot of very low light stuff. Love my 1DX Mark III. Love the fact that ...
Have a 1DX Mark III. Absolutely in love with it. Spent Friday & Saturday evenings at the local motocross track. Needless to say gear is filthy. Need to take the bag the camera/lens is in out to the garage and use the shop vac to get all the silt off ...
Anyone else have an impossible time keeping a cameras sensor clean. I have all 3 of the 1 DX models, the Mark III is incredible. I can understand when I go to the Motocross track dust finding its way on to the sensor but at the drag strip...not so mu...

Went and visited a machine shop, was not interested in looking at it. I found some 2-56 Ultra Low Profile Socket Head screws online. They fit into the recess perfectly. Purchased a 2-56 tap with the hopes that there is enough material in the stripped...
Which is exactly what I have run into. I measured the original screw. Spent some time on the McMaster Carr site looking at screws. A 2-56 is slightly larger then the original one. Problem is the head thickness is a bit much. Looked at JIS screws. Pre...
There is only 1 camera repair shop in our area that I know of. Last I used him I was less then thrilled. He will not look for parts. Customer has to. I have hunted around for the lens part that the bayonet attaches to, no luck so far. I really should...
Just shot this at F16 on a white sheet of paper....looked at in in Camera Raw, there does appear to be some spots on the sensor that are very faint...will take the lens off later and take a look
