Your printer is only a month old so it should most certainly not be having paper feeding problems! Let me know when you hear back from Canon supports as I feel this is something that should fall under a warranty claim and not a repair bill!
If wifi is working well it is probably the LAN port that has issues, or link negotiation is falling. You can try to set switch port to 100Mbos/full duplex directly rather than auto, prior to factory reset.
