I just updated the DPP to version 4. As soon as it gets launched it shuts down. I have tried reinstalling DPP and restarting the computer. Any suggestions?

Windows Home 11.0 ver 24H2 and uptodate, DPP ver 4.0. I start it, it looks normal for about 2 seconds then shuts down. No error message. New machine, lots of memory. Machine otherwise works fine.

Thanks guyz, that makes perfect sense. I was not using Servo but do use BBF. I tend to focus and recompose so I am not generally holding the BBF button when the shot is taken (unless I am following action).

The flash needs to be pulled back from its fully seated position in Canon cameras. Fiddle with it. About 1/16 inch or until the flash plate is even with the back of the camera Flash shoe
