I cannot connect my Canon EOS 6D Mk2 to the Camera Connect software. I have tried Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC. I have reinstalled the latest software on my Pixel 7 phone. The Wi-Fi option just fails to connect with a message to the effect that it cannot find the connecting device. Although, my phone sees the network that the camera is broadcasting. With Bluetooth, again the camera sees the camera and even reports ‘connected’ but the camera remains ‘stuck’ on ‘waiting to connect’. On NFC the phone reports that the NFC function is not enabled on the camera even though it is. I have also cleared the communication settings on the camera. Is the problem my phone, my camera or me? If the phone or camera then what is the solution? Thanks

Greetings,
What you're reporting is not new... The only issue for me is is that I owned a 6D2 (for over 5 yrs) prior to my R5 C and used Camera Connect on my P4 P6 and P8 with Android 11,12.13.14.15 and now 16 with Canon Connect multiple versions successfully. I have never been able to reproduce the issues others have claimed.
I rarely use Bluetooth and just go straight to Wi-Fi. I turn it on in the camera and confirm it's broadcasting the SSID and password. I then open Wi-Fi on my phone, select the broadcasting SSID name and enter the password. My 6D2 connected every time. Then I would open up the Canon Connect app and transfer my photos.
If you have VPN (Google One) turned on that will keep the Canon Connect app from working. You also have to be logged into the app with your Canon ID. (Required as of this year)
Check the hamburger menu and see if you have a heading name security. Tap on it and ensure you have WPA2 selected for the encryption type. The P6 and P8 had a Broadcom wireless chipset. The P7 had a Samsung chipset. I don't think this is related however.
Take a look at the settings above and let us know what you're seeing.
