I ended up going to "add remove programs" and removed every reference of canon software, rebooted and reinstalled the drivers "W3.16.0.7 " drivers. That did the trick.

Thanks for your response, Waddizzle. Please see my response above. Do you think it's because I have not configured the eye control as yet, this is why it is flashing?

Thanks for your recommendation. I was able to locate the icon in the manual on page 1032. It's the eye control icon. I haven't configured it yet so maybe that is why it is flashing. As mentioned, at this moment it only shows up in the viewfinder an...
