XF605 Magnifying Diopter Available?

Does anyone know if there is a magnifying diopter available for the eyepiece on the XF605?

Hello emvision1711,

There is no additional accessory or anything of that nature if that is what you mean. The XF605 does have a magnification feature that will magnify the center of the screen 2 times. You would press the [MAGN.] button. You can then press the [SET] button to change the magnification from 2x to 5x to 10x. This feature is discussed on page 80 in the user's guide. You can access that guide HERE for reference.

Hi John, thanks for the reply. I'm referring to the eye piece. I'm not able to slide in enough to get it in sharp focus. I have the same problem with my DSLR's, but they have a solution.

To confirm what John mentioned, I’m not aware of any diopter accessories that we make for the XF605. As you suggested we do offer such accessories for our DSLRs, but our camcorders don’t have the same form factor.

As an alternative, it may help to connect a viewing monitor to the camera using an HDMI cable. We don’t have any specific monitors we recommend, but companies like Lilliput, Marshall, and Small HD make monitors that professionals use with our cameras in various challenging shooting conditions.
