imageFORMULA DR-G2140 Images are all black

We have a new DR-G2140 scanner. Only first thing in the morning, the images are all black. Sometimes if we restart the PC and the Scanner at the same time it will come around. We have put a new USB cord and different PC and still the same results. Anyone else have this problem?
