The front buttons on the LiDE-400 scanner do not appear to work on Sequoia 15.5.
I'm able to scan from software fine, but I'm trying to get the copy button working for an older user who struggles to navigate the software. I haven't been able to find anything definitive apart from passing mentions of the issue from other users
I've re-installed the driver (10.4) and IJ Scan software and confirmed that the button configuration in IJ Scan appears to be sensible, but none of the buttons initiate a scan.
Any advice -- or even just some sort of more official confirmation that the buttons simply don't work with Sequoia -- would be welcome. Thanks in advance.

Hi histrion,
To use the buttons to initiate scanning with your CanoScan LiDE 400, please follow the steps provided on this page from the manual:

Thanks, but everything was already configured per those instructions (though that doc shows an older version of the UI and it took awhile to find my way to the right page). And the printer is set for the Copy button. The button just doesn't do anything.
