I have a Canon XF-405, and I was wondering if I could convert a mfx file to .mp4 on the XF-405? If not, how can I convert it to .mp4 without losing quality? I am running the latest firmware. 1.0.5.0

Greetings,
Look for a converter that supports pass-through or remuxing for converting .MXF to .MP4 with 100% quality. I would use DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro. I only have experience with DaVinci. While both of these editors transcode the video, if you don't heavily compress the export you won't notice any loss or generational degradation. Canon's XF-AVC utility allows you to import and view, but it doesn't transcode or convert.
