Good day,
We have three Canon CR-N300 PTZ cameras installed in our hall to capture our church services and Bible studies. They are all three mounted on the same wall. Two are mounted side by side and are used for our CU and midshot, while the third is mounted about twenty feet away on the same wall. The two cameras mounted side by side are plagued with a small but annoying micro-jitter in the video. We have experimented with various adjustments to the image stabilizer, but nothing seems to help. The third camera does not have any jitter at all. We don't believe it is related to autofocus in any way because the jitter is still present when we make the cameras full manual.
I was wondering if this is a situation that could be remedied by some of the vibration dampers that are on the market? There is a ceiling HVAC unit near the wall where the jitter is showing up.
Thanks in advance for any assistance that is offered.
Frank

Hi Frank_Lydick,
An HVAC unit being close to those two cameras could cause enough vibration to show as micro-jitters. If you are able to move those two cameras it would be good to try running them in a different location to see if the jitters are still present. That would help make sure the issue is related to the HVAC rather than an internal issue with either cameras.
If it is related to the proximity to the HVAC unit something like vibration reducing mount could help. Through Canon support we can only recommend products made by Canon itself. We do not make vibration reducing mounts directly through Canon, so there aren't any specific ones we could recommend. We do not have information on the mount you included a screenshot of, so we cannot guarantee it would help in your case. For information on the mount we would recommend contacting the manufacturer of the mount.

The same camera is used by our Birla Ojasvi team as well, and it is excellent.
