Can't Register LUT in C300 Mark III

I can't seem to register LUTs in this camera. The "register" option and everything else on that menu is grayed out. And yes, I have .cube LUT files on the formatted SD card.

Thanks for any help.

Hi there,

Just wondering, in case it might have an effect, did you create the LUT you are trying to load or was it downloaded from somewhere. And do you know if it was generated for the camera using DaVinci Resolve?

I got the LUT folder from the Canon website. They seem to be broken down into 3 groups, but not sure what "65grid," 33grid," and "17grid" means. I did manage to regsiter one of them.

Did anyone find a solution to this issue? I'm having the same problem with luts downloaded directly from canon.

Have you tried loading them on your proxy SD card? Canon's 33 grid are the ones to use, even the new Canon 709 & CMT 709 LUTS should load. I don't have C300 MK III but C700 FF. LUTS should be at the root level, like in screengrab. Hope this helps? Charles

The problem was I was trying to load the 65grid lut instead of the 33grid lut. ChatGpt told me (even argued with me) that the 65grids are compatible with the camera. After trying over an hour, I asked Gemini and it told me the 65grid isn't compatible with the camera and to use the 33grid lut. the 33grid worked the first time.

Glad you got it sorted... To be honest I don't use ChatGPT or any 'AI', as the data is just scrapped from other peoples work, conversations, forums, papers, etc and then ranked and not all that accurate. I generally search forums/reddit etc. but pretty sure the answer was in the manual or Canon's own help docs on this one, when I was looking initially for myself.
