CR-N500 moving on its own

daivernon

I had 5 CR-N500 installed last week (wall mounted, upside down) and all were woking as expected with the Canon RC-IP100 Controller.

Now, the cameras boot up (POE) and are fine. If I press a preset on the controller, they are fine. As soon as I touch the joystick for PT movement, when I left go, the camera begins to drift until it is pointing straight down.

This is all 5 cameras.

Any ideas?

Hello daivernon,

Let's start by making sure that the firmware is up to date on the controller and all of the cameras. There is also a sensitivity setting that may help a bit as well to check. If you would like to speak with a Canon representative for further assistance with this, please contact our Technical Support Team at 1-800-652-2666, Monday through Friday between 8:00 am to 8:00 pm ET.

Hey John! I hope you are doing well. Did you find a fix for this? It is literally happening to me now. I have a CR-N500 AND RC-IP100 Controller. Live show tomorrow and I'm freaking out. 😭 I am updated to the latest firmware on the PTZ and controller, I have reset all settings, I have all best in practice and as soon as I touch the joystick it literally goes super slomo until in points to the ground I event turned off PT ACTIVE and PTZF ONLY during a mid sinking down which that instantly kills joystick control and it STILL just continued until it finished and was pointing totally down. It's not doing it on the Canon GUI interface, but controlling from there is terrible ;( Calling TMRW first thing, but same thing as Daivernon issue and no time since I have a corporate event. Please help!
