imagePROGRAF PRO-1000 Unable to Print 4x6 on Professional Print & Layout?

It seems I am unable to print small sizes on this software/ Canon Pro 1000.  I am only able to create smaller sizes and use them when selecting plain paper as my media type.  I am looking to print fine art, more specifically on Hahnemuhle 4x6 Photo rag.    No other setting, including the Hahnemuhle am1xs will allow me to select or create a custom 4x6 size.  Is there a way around this?  Or more importantly, why is this?

This is a user forum so we cannot speak for Canon.  One waste cartridge is supporting 12 ink cartridges (11 colors plus coating), so perhaps that is a factor.  Whatever the waste or usage that is required is something only a Canon printer engineer could address.

I find the prints on Canon paper outstanding.  PPL has some things that are annoying but I learn to work around them (multiple images in PPL often seem to cause issues, so I work with one at a time, etc.).   I can't say if other printer manufacturers do better, but I can say that this seems to be the way of things in the world.  Few things are truly simple and uncomplicated, and I wish they would fix all of these things to make my life better, but few do that.   Amazon used to have the most amazing customer service ever, but now even speaking to a person takes quite a bit of effort.

Can you please share your experiences with the printer support team on the phone that leads you to say "Their response to customer questions is non-existence."?  I've not called for support with my Pro-1100, but they have been hugely responsive with all of my other issues.

I admit I haven't even looked for documentation for PPL.  A search finds these lessons but not a manual.  https://ij.manual.canon/ij/webmanual/ProfessionalPrintLayout/All/CO/EN/DPPG/top.html.

Congrats on the exhibition.  I hope it went well for you.

You haven't explained what your particular problem is. For the OP (~4 years ago) there are specific instructions on how to print the 4x6 cards as fine art and it requires template. You can't just feed the 4x6 as Fine Art media type.

Maybe if you described what your specific problem (s) is (are) someone could assist.
