Error Message:

"The media type and paper size are not set correctly. Click Cancel Printing to stop prinrting, change the media type or paper size setting, and print again."

8.5x11 from rear tray prints fine.

I've printed from this computer to this printer with similar specs in the past (13x23; 14x22). Difference was that

Paper size = 14 x 24

Media type = Matte photo paper

Print from = Manual Feed

OS = Windows 10 Pro

Apps = InDesign 2021 and Acrobat Pro DC 2021

I tried to print from LAN at home, which I've been using, and also USB directly.

Hi. I see that you are getting an error that indicates there is an issue with the paper size and type. You mentioned that you are printing on 14x24 inch Matte Photo Paper and you are loading the paper in the Manual Feed Tray.

This size paper is too long for the Manual Feed Tray. This paper is also too wide for the Rear Tray. According to the printer manual, you can print on non-standard size paper within the following ranges:

  • Rear tray

    - Minimum size: 3.50 x 5.00 inches (89.0 x 127.0 mm)

    - Maximum size: 12.95 x 26.61 inches (329.0 x 676.0 mm)

  • Manual feed tray

    - Minimum size: 8.00 x 10.00 inches (203.2 x 254.0 mm)

    - Maximum size: 14.00 x 23.00 inches (355.6 x 584.2 mm)

If you would like to visit the section of the manual that discussess the recommended media for your printer, please go to: https://ij.manual.canon/ij/webmanual/Manual/W/PRO-100S%20series/EN/BG/bg-loading1600.html

I hope this information helps. Thank you for choosing Canon.

Can't believe I didn't include the printer model!  It's the Pro-100.

I opened the InDesign doc from 2019 (in current version of InDesign) and pasted in my document contents and it printed. But I still see no difference in the printer settings of the old and new documents.
