Changing the printhead on a Pixma Pro9000 Mark II

Is changing the printhead on a Pixma Pro9000 Mark II a big deal?

Or can a chubby, old, retired guy do it without a lot of trauma?  It is really hard to imagine how un-handy I am.

I had posted about my Pixma Pro900 MK II died.  there are some for sale on Ebay, still in plastic, without a printhead.  They are really reasonable; in the neighborhood or $100.  so I am thinking about grabbing one of those and taking the printhead out of my dead one.

Does that make sense?

It does if you have a lot of Pro9000 ink you want to use.

But if not, for a few dollars more, get the rebate deal on the Pro-100 and get that printer.

Currently $150 after rebate at B&H Photo, with $50 worth of paper included.

Thanks,jrhoffman75.  I do have a quite a bit of Pro9000 ink.  but then I still have an old printer.  But I do really like it. I need to look at the specs on the Pro-100 and make a decision.  Since I retired any printing is just for personal use.

Thanks, again.

Give Canon a call at 1-800-OK-CANON.

I don't know if they still do this, but in the past they had a service where they would print one of your images on their printer so you could see how it performs.
