Canon Pro 200 Printer - Screen Not Turning On

_jeffli

Hi,

I got the Canon Pro 200 printer two weeks ago and has been printing fine up until a couple days ago when the screen suddenly was extremely laggy. I would press the home or up and down arrow to navigate and it would take the screen a couple minutes to respond. And when the printer was not used and the screen went to sleep, the screen would be white instead of black. I took out the power cord and plugged it back in to try to see if that helped but now the screen is not even turning on and I am unable to print from the printer even when on my Mac it says printer is on.

Anyone know any solutions?

Thank you!

Hi,

It sounds like the printer has experienced an internal hardware issue and would need service.

If the printer is in it's 1 year warranty, I recommend reaching out to Canon support for your warranty options. You will need to register your Canon gear HERE to access additional support options.

If the printer is out of warranty, you would qualify for the Canon Upgrade program. This is for out of warranty units which have been diagnosed to require service or are incompatible with a new or upgraded system. This program allows you the opportunity to purchase a replacement product discounted from the list price. Free ground shipping is included with your purchase.

If you would like to take advantage of this offer, please call our Sales Department at (866) 443-8002 Mon-Sat, 9 AM to 9pm EST excluding holidays.

Jeff.
Again, try and remove AC Power Cord and then plug in. Turn on power. Then grab the Power Cord and move up and down slowly and throughout the length of the cord while having visibility to front Display, may need a second person. See if it makes and breaks contact, creating ON and OFF. May have pinched cord or connecting ends failed.
May just need new AC cord.
