I think I'm confused about how this all works. I received an error message from the printer queue, instructing me to view the message on the printer's UI display. There was a "! New Notice" alert, so I pressed the OK button, thinking it was associated with the New Notice alert, and it brought me to the "Replace" screen, which I thought was still telling me to replace the cartridge. It turns out that the printer wouldn't print due to a network connection error that I only discovered after removing and re-adding the printer. There was no notice indicating a connection error, which is where the confusion originated. When I pressed the OK button, it took me to the Replace screen because the "cartridge indicator window" below "New Notice" was highlighted. I feel a bit embarrassed. Nonetheless, my problem has been resolved.
