Is it really necessary to install am1x files for various papers? Wouldn’t simply installing and selecting the appropriate icc profile accomplish the same thing?
They are not necessary, but they ensure you’re using the correct media type, which often makes a huge huge difference in color. Otherwise know your correct media type.
