imagePROGRAF PRO-2000 Error code EC31-2F1C

My image prograf 2000 keeps showing the error code EC31-2F1C

it says turn off, wait, then turn back on - that worked for a while (whenever it finished printing the error would show so I’d turn off and on and it’d be fine again!) but now it won’t go

im not sure what more to do than I already have but any suggestions would be helpful!

So that the Community can help you better, we need to know exactly which Canon printer model you're using.  We have two printers in the imagePROGRAF series with the number 2000 in their name, specifically the imagePROGRAF PRO-2000 and the imagePROGRAF GP-2000. Hi Patrick, I'm having this same issue and I would prefer not to call. Is there a possible way for you to maybe explain what it is n what can cause the issue? I have tried cleaning the purge unit, printer head, and even tried taking all the Ink cartridges out and putting them back in. I've came to realize the printer head does not move left to right when turning on like it used to, Instead it just turns one way a few inches then stops. Any Ideas?
