new canon printer pixMA MG5520. cannot connect to network,check the LAN connection and network setti

my new Canon printer PIXMA MG 5520 cannot connect to the network. It tell me to check the LAN connection and network settings. How and where. I've pushed the reset button but I can't get anywhere.
