I have a MG5400. It will not print and says it is offline. I have done as much trouble shooting as I can. It is wireless and the error message says to check the cable connection. When i open the printer and click "see what's printing" it shows what is in the cue but I have noticed that 'print offline' is NOT checked. I have followed all the steps that have been recommended by various responses to this problem. It has worked in the past, it's not working now. I am using windows 8 and i understand there is a problem with it not always printing with that operating system. I believe it will print from the desktop but i'm not sure. If/when you respond, please be very specific. I looked at one problem solving suggestion that had directions for looking at the set up and checking the IP address. They were too vague and I could not even figure out where to locate 'set up.'
