PIXMA TS8222 (Canon TS8200 Series) - Enhancement Request - Canon IJ Status Monitor
I have recently Downloaded and Installed "Canon IJ Status Monitor" for my PIXMA TS8222 printer (Canon TS8200 series). I have Enabled Options for:
(a) Enable Status Monitor
(b) Always Display Current Job
(c) Start when Windows is Started
Enhancement Requests:
(a) The utility does indeed load when Windows is started, and its icon is placed into the Windows System Tray. However, when the application is Minimized, it does not 'Minimize to Tray'. Also, if I close the application, its Tray Icon is also removed, so I am not able to easily re-load the application from the System Tray.
Please consider including a 'Minimize to Tray' option for the "Canon IJ Status Monitor"? Also, it would be nice if its Tray Icon would reflect the printer's current power and / or network status (i.e., 'On', 'Off', 'Online', 'Offline', 'Busy', etcetera?)? Perhaps either by color codes or Tooltips? Both?
(b) Please consider including an on-demand, Magic Packet option to power the printer on via its network / WiFi connection? This would allow for checking ink levels without needing to first send a print job to power on a powered off printer.
