The PRO 100 was given to mean the gal that gave it me no longer has the disc that came with the printer. Where can I get the GUI (front end / operating app) ? I can't find it on Canon's web site

I think you mean Graphical user Interface. It's a generic term.
The printer driver is what you want. You can access it via the Printer Setup button in most applications or by using the Canon My Printer software.

There's a bunch of application at that link (i've already visited it prior to this post) and I don't know which one is the 'required' application

As a minimum you need the driver for the appropriate OS.

Got the driver and the computer allows me to connect to it via WIFI but still don't have the GUI

I have had a Pro-100 for 7 years; I do not know what you are referring to as the GUI.

Genuine User Interface, the front end user application where you select different operations of the printer (maintenance, printer set-up, page set-up (etc) command selection)
