PP&L Media Type for Canson Baryta Photographique II Matt

Hello,

Does anyone know or have recommendations for PP&L's  Media Type setting for using Canson Baryta Photographique II Matt? The only information I can find on Canson's site is "it should be printed using Matt Black ink as opposed to Photo Black ink". Moab's Juniper Baryta uses the Pro Platinum setting but Canson's paper feels more like a matte with less gloss then Moab's. I am evaluating the paper and want to make sure I have the right settings. I contacted Canson about 4 days ago but no response.

I am on a Mac using the ImagePrGraf 300.

Thanks.

In this video, I walk you through the process of installing AM1X files for Canon printers. These special files allow you to load custom media types-like Canson Infinity fine art papers-directly into the Canon printer driver. No more guessing which paper setting to choose; the exact paper name ...

Danny,

I got a notice that jrhoffman75 replied to my question but I do not see it. I do see that you edited this post. Can you tell me if there was a problem with my question or jrhoffman75 reply?

Thank you.

I had recommended considering Canon Professional Matte, but then I went to the Canson site.

Canson provides a download for that printer that should provide the appropriate ICC profile and recommended media type. Since I don't have that printer I can't read it, but it would supersede my recommendation, so I deleted it.

Thanks Jeff. I do have the ICC profile, I'll look again for any info on media type. If it is not there then my guess is Matte Photo.

Thanks Jeff, it did not occur to me that Canson would require something more than what I have seen from other manufacturers.
