Hi, I just connected my PIXMA MG5420 printer to a new MAC with OS Monterey. I am able to print but when I open the scan utility, I receive this message ' "Canon IJ Scan Utility.app" needs to be updated. The developer of this app needs to update it to work with this version of macOS. Contact the developer for more information.' I couldn't find an update for this. Does anyone know of an update that will fix this problem? Thanks

Hello! The PIXMA MG5420 was retired in 2018, which means no new software or drivers beyond that timeframe have been developed for that model. You will find all of the most up-to-date software within your My Canon Account HERE or your printer's support page HERE.
You can also speak with a Canon Upgrade Program specialist to see what your options might be to help get you into a discounted current-generation printer that would be compatible with your modern operating system. They're at 866-443-8002.

If the printing function is OK then you might be able to find help using VueScan by Hamrick Software.
