PIXMA MG3620: Unable connect via Wi-Fi, cannot find printer on network

I have a Canon mg3620 desktop printer on a Mac Ventura 13.6.7. It stopped printing with no error message, so I uninstalled the driver, though I don't know if I did that correctly. I downloaded a new driver for Mac 3600 series, clicked through the install process, tried to connect via wifi, but now it cannot find the printer and no printer at all shows up in the printer list.  Any thoughts?

Greetings,

Did you enable Wireless Connection Set Up?  This is to be done before running the installation software.

I got the wifi lamp to flash, but it still doesn't show up when I try to add the printer. Is that because I didn't have it on when I installed the driver? Do I have to re-install the driver again?

I followed all the prompts and got a Connection Failed reply

Greetings,

The printer does need to be in wireless connection setup mode in order for the installation software to detect and configure its wireless connection.

Note.  The printer supports a 2.4GHz wireless broadcast that uses WPA2 / AES encryption.  If you're using a dual or tri-band router and are using the same SSID name for all broadcasts, this can cause issues.  You can try disabling the 5GHz broadcast temporarily or using a unique name for each network.  Third party security or AV software can also cause detection issues.

@Shadowsports I am having the same issues and I have seen this response from a few people. I have Xfinity and can not figure out how to change to the 2.4GHz to connect. Can you help with that?
