MX432 IP Address

I have an older but perfectly good MX432 printer which I'm trying to connect to my new Chromebook. I need the IP address for the printer and I haven't been able to locate it. When I go through the recommended steps the Network Configuration printout is blank where it should show the IP address. Can anybody out there help?

I don’t believe that the MX432 is compatible with Chromebook.

Thanks for the response, John. You're right, the MX432 is not listed as compatible for an automatic connection with the Chromebook, but I think I can connect it manually, if I can find the IP address. Mike at Canon, if you're seeing this, can you at least tell me if I'm correct about this? If not, I'll have to go with Plan B, although I'm not sure what Plan B is right now.

Thanks!

Since this printer was retired 5 years ago, all of the support documentation for this unit was removed, so we can't say if this is a correct assumption.

The bits of lingering internal documentation I could dig up indicate it is NOT Chrome-compatible. It was compatible with Windows XP-Windows 7 SP1 and Mac OS v10.5.8-10.7.

Thanks for the reply, Stephen, and thanks for doing a little digging. Your answer isn't what I hoped for, but helps me decide what to do. If the printer was retired 5 years ago, and they are retired after 10 years of service, I guess I've gotten my money's worth!

Get in touch with our Canon Upgrade Program specialists. They can help you find a new model that meets your needs - at a discounted price. They're available Monday through Saturday from 9am to 9pm (ET) at 866-443-8002.

Will do. Thanks!
