MF260 Intermittent Failure to print.

TPCIT
Apprentice

Hello,

We have a number of MF260 printers set up in an office environment. These devices are working well except for a few people. The issue that we keep seeing on their devices is when something is selected to print it will hit the print queue act as if it has printed normally then drop out of the print queue. The printer never prints anything out. Resetting the printer spooler resolves the issue but the frequency of the issue is causing problems. The printers are set up with a static IP on our network and print jobs are being sent to them over the network. Has anyone run into a similar issue? If so how did you resolve it?

Hello TPCIT,

The issue could be caused by communication issue or by a problem with the print spooler service. We would be happy to assist further with the issue. To provide some feedback or some troubleshooting steps, we would need some additional information. If you could reply to this message with the information below, we can provide some assistance. For a more immediate resolution, you can contact support at 1-800-652-2666. Our agents would be happy to help.

  1. What version of the Windows operating system are you using on your computer?
  2. Which specific MF260 series printer do you  have?
  3. Is the printer connected directly to the router with an ethernet cable or how is the printer connected to your network?
