MAXIFY MB2720 Adding _001 to each scanned image's file name

I scan all the time and need to find a way to stop each document saving with _001 at the end of it. I read it is because it is a duplicate, but i rename each file so there are no duplicates. It is too time consuming to manually delete this on every saved file.  Also, is there a way to select a different folder to file each document in?

Any update?

The scan application isn't smart enough to know what is done after the scan is created. It only knows the file name that was entered in the app. The appended number sequence is protection for the majority of folks that are just scanning one after another.

The scan utility should have an option to designate where the files are saved to.

Same problem. Did you identify a work around?  Manually tracking is not an option for our number of photos.

After a year of being annoyed with this as well, I finally figured it out.  You do have to use the CaptureOnTouch V4 Pro app (I have this on my Windows desktop.)  On the "Start Scanning" screen, under number 2 "Select the output", click the little pencil to edit.  In the popup window where you get to name the file, right under that it says "Detail Settings".  Click that and in the selected items, delete "counter" and save and it should not come up again.

If you already scanned something, go to the output settings at the bottom, click the pencil and follow the same directions.

Hope this helps!
