I have second instance of Win11 23H2 on the same PC and there is everything OK.

I was trying reinstal all drivers and utility - without result. I was disabled firewall and virus protection - without result.

Printer is connected via LAN.

Microsoft app from Store - Scan - is working excelent , Scan Utility from Canon not. Any suggestions?

Greetings,

Thanks for the update. I suspected this might be the case.  If not already done, I'd uninstall the printer. Remove the drivers, restart and reinstall.  Hopefully this will solve the problem for you.

Greetings,

Clearly your diagnostics was very thorough.  👍

Last recommendation would be to implement a backup solution.  You could then revert to a point in time where the scanner worked.  It may or may not have yielded a different outcome the next time 24H2 was applied.  Sometimes, however, reinstalling is the only way to resolve.

Since you reinstalled Windows, you do not HAVE to do the 24H2 update if it is causing the issue. Microsoft can go way overboard on what their version updates do and they are not foolproof.  If you don't care about what they say it does, don't do it. Don't let it happen automatically. My 23H2 computers are perfectly fine.

After OS reinstall, this and his other system are working with 24H2.

Hello, what is the problem? I have two computers with 24h2 fully updated and scanning is not possible. with version 23h2 everything works fine. What is the solution? roll back to an older version?

Hi again. I don't know what caused the problem in one of my Windows instances. It was a fairly new installation. I used it for maybe 2 weeks. I didn't check if the scanner worked after installing the drivers because if the printer worked, I figured the rest should work too. The need to use the scanner caused me to start the scanning program. And then I noticed that the Scan Utility for Canon program didn't see the scanner, although other programs, e.g. Microsoft Scan, worked correctly. Reinstalling the drivers, disabling AV, scanning the system, etc. didn't help. I gave up and reinstalled the system. And so far everything works correctly. After each installation of a new application, I check if something has broken and if I come across something, I'll write in this thread. This is not a good solution, but the only one that worked. I hope Google Translator translated it fairly correctly. Best regards

I have the same problem. After spending hours on the phone with Microsoft and Canon, it was determined that the issue is that Canon needs to fix the driver. I am waiting for Canon to either issue a patch or a new version of the driver.
