Hi : )
My black ink is not working, so I tried to install the assistant to do a deep clean (printhead clean did not work). And the assistant says the drivers are not installed.
So I went to download the dirvers, and the one for windows 10 (64) installed, but when I try to run it, it says that it is incompatible with my operating system (I have the samsung with a snapdragon processor, and windows home 10 - but this processor seems to have3 a unique windows system)
Is there some place I can just get the driver without the installation? I can install it myself by going to the device manager, but cannot find the driver?
Thank you. it is a weird 64 bit that is only partially 64 bit???
Thank you so much : )

Greetings,
The G1220 is compatible with ARM based processors. It's possible the architecture of your Snapdragon CPU is not compatible.
Windows driver software available from Canon. The software is written for hardware running on Intel compatible CPUs.
32 vs. 64-bit. There is no such thing as partial implementation. It's either one or the other.
Please see this KB article for ARM based processor support.
https://support.usa.canon.com/kb/s/article/FAQ100604
If you have attempted installation and failed, you may want to remove the device or any drivers you tried to install before performing the steps in the article. Some features of your printer may not be fully supported on an operating system based on a ARM based processor. Please let the community know what you find out.

Thank you very much for your reply. This had absolutely no effect whatsoever. The only driver that installs is listed under G1020 series and is located in the Windows/system32/drivers/winusb.sys file.
And again the IJ Printer Assistant tool says that "A printer that supports IJ Printer assistant tool cannot be found.

thank you for what you wrote, it was very much appreciated to get any reply. It did not work at all. It is the same problem. It would be nice if cannon would just provide the drivers so that we could go in and grab them through the printer properties.. just update the driver directly!
What I finally did was get out an old laptop running windows 8. I did the deep clean and got my black ink printing back. This is really a problem. Please, canon people, fix this issue! On the computer I use the most, close to always, I cannot get the proper printer drivers to install, and cannot get the IJ printer assistant to recognize the printer. Yes, this is arm and windows 10.
Thank you again, at least for some reply. I can only imagine how many other people get frustrated.
Thank you. Blessings
