Can't wirelessly set up a second computer to new MF455dw

We just got a new MF455dw printer and I went through the online driver install process on my desktop and successfully connected to the printer.  I went upstairs to do the same on my wife's laptop and the printer isn't showing up during the driver install process.  Initially, I hadn't checked to allow the printer to be shared but I changed that setting.  Surely the limit can't be one computer to one printer.  Not sure where to go from here.  The printer just isn't showing up for her set-up.  Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

I'm not a tech, but you want to ensure your computers are on the same network, and that everything can talk to each other. Some WiFi routers have a few security features that can "isolate" things, and that can make it tricky. First, if you have more than one WiFi (for example a WiFi 5Ghz and 2.5Ghz that are separated), chances are your laptop is using the faster 5Ghz. The printer will be using the slower 2.5Ghz. If the networks (or devices) are isolated, they won't be able to talk to each other. There are usually settings in your WiFi router that can let everything talk to each other without problems - you'll want to look at the documentation for your router for that.

The other thing is if your wife's laptop is trying to use AirPrint instead of the Canon software. It can kind of make things muddy sometimes. You want to ensure you have all of the most up-to-date software & drivers for your computer from our site HERE.
