Can't scan after migration to new Mac

Migrated from Macbook Pro to Macbook Air using Migration Assistant. On new Mac, try to use IJ Scan Utility Lite to scan. Get this error message, with no indication which folder or what to do about it:  

You do not have the required privileges to access the specified folder.

Hi JoeM99,

Please try these steps:

1.  Right click your desktop and create a new folder called "Scans".

2.  Open the IJ Scan Utility.

3.  Click the Settings button in the lower right.

4.   Click Document Scan on the left side.

5.  On the right side, in the Save Settings section, choose the "Scans" folder that you created on the desktop from the Save In drop down box.

6.  Click on Photo Scan on the left side.

7.  On the right side, in the Save Settings section, choose the "Scans" folder that you created on the desktop from the Save In drop down box..

8.  Click OK.

Attempt to scan using either the Document or Photo button on the IJ Scan Utility.

Go into System Preferences->Privacy & Security and see if folder or disk access are showing you something you need to authorize.

Thanks for the advice. Didn't see anything that looked related to the IJ Scan Utility or to Canon at all on the Files and Folders list. I added the utility to the Full Disk Access list, but no help. Even uninstalled the utility, and downloaded and reinstalled it. No change.
